Presence is a Colorado-based online gift shop and gift registry that sells local experiences - no products! We partner with small businesses to provide our customers with an eye-opening selection of memorable experiences that can be purchased or added to a gift registry.

While we do our due diligence to find experiences provided by legitimate businesses, Presence does not conduct background checks, pull licenses, etc. We always recommend doing your own research before purchasing or redeeming one of our experience vouchers. Presence was founded in Denver, CO. We operate within the Mile High City, therefore many of our current connections for experiences are located here as well. Our goal is to eventually have experiences that live in all corners of the state, but we were just born in 2020 and know that building solid partnerships takes time and dedication. Community is important to us and there is certainly value in slower, organic growth. Stay tuned as we are adding new experiences on a regular basis. Our owner is a bi-racial female and she grasps the desperate need to change our current patterns in order to fight systemic racism and other many other pressing issues of our time. Presence is a small but mighty team working from home with no retail location. All shipments are packed and processed by one person which decreases social distancing concerns and maintains transparency. Should this person fall ill, packing and processing will be done by another healthy individual or all sales will be paused until further notice. Our team will be following recommendations from the CDC and WHO to ensure our safety and yours.
Any listed experiences on askforpresence.com are currently open and available for booking during this time. Should they need to shutdown, we will work with you on a case by case basis so you can fairly redeem your voucher in the future.

Purchases will be reflected in the form of a voucher. Depending on your preference, vouchers may be digital or physical. Physical vouchers are known as ‘Gift Boxes.’ You have the option of choosing the Digital or Gift Box when adding experiences to your shopping cart or registry.
When the final recipient of the voucher is ready to book their experience, they will simply follow the directions listed on the voucher to redeem directly with the associated merchant.
The ‘Digital’ and ‘Gift Box’ purchase options for each experience refer to the style of voucher you opt to receive.
‘Digital’ refers to digital experience vouchers which are sent and received by email and can be printed at home or kept in one's inbox. This is the quickest method of voucher delivery as it will be sent to your email immediately after purchase. Please note: digital vouchers can only be sent to whomever is making the purchase. It can then be printed or forwarded to the gift recipient.
‘Gift Box’ refers to physical experience vouchers which are shipped directly to your address. Although experiences are not items we can wrap, oftentimes we want something tangible and beautiful to hand someone. So we created an elegant box for the ultimate presentation—one that is sure to produce oohs and ahhs when opened. Gift Boxes rep a sweet design and are stuffed with moss (um, hello!) and a mystifying message. Inside you will find the voucher, neatly tucked into a crisp envelope. No matter which option you choose, Digital or Gift Box, all information on the voucher will be the same.
Extra time and material is put into the design and production of the Gift Boxes. As a small and budding business, we need to cover these costs. Additionally, we feel the digital voucher is a more sustainable option, and we hope that no added cost for the digital voucher will encourage people to go this greener route. However, we sure do love our Gift Boxes and think they are a fabulous option for those looking for something extra special.
You may notice that some experiences only have a Gift Box delivery option. At this time, our Digital system is not able to provide certain information required to book some of Presence's experiences. Because of this, we must manually include this information for some experiences in Gift Boxes only.
Gift notes can be added to Gift Box options only.
You can give gifts to yourself, right?! Although our overall theme is gift giving, the purchase does not need to be a gift. You can certainly shop for yourself.
Not necessarily, however the majority of our experiences take place in the state of Colorado so whomever is claiming the experience should probably live here or travel here often. You will find some virtual experiences that can be redeemed from anywhere. These will be listed as virtual under ‘Location’ in the experience’s description.

If you selected the 'Digital' option, your voucher will be emailed to you immediately. If you need a gift in a pinch, we recommend this option if available.
If you selected the 'Gift Box' option, your voucher will be processed and shipped within 3-7 days. This does not include delivery time.
Due to COVID, please be aware there may be additional delays to shipping.

Each experience's Terms + Booking will be a little bit different as every merchant is different. You can always contact us with any questions.
Presence will accept returns for cash refunds within 72 hours of a purchase. After 72 hours, Presence does not accept returns and does not provide cash refunds. The original value of your voucher may always be used as a credit with the associated merchant for something other than your original experience if preferred. If you are unhappy with your experience for any reason, please reach out to us so we can work with you to resolve the issue.
To initiate a refund, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and provide us with your name, order number, and reason for the return.

We would absolutely love it if you built a registry for a less common occasion, too! Presence is here to confront the taboo of asking for specific gifts. Telling people exactly what you want for your birthday or a holiday can often feel selfish or unwarranted, but it actually leaves your loved ones to play a guessing game which can lead to the purchasing of unwanted items, only to collect dust in your closet due to the guilt of ever returning them. This is not productive for your friends, family, you, or the planet! Presence 100% advocates for building a gift registry for any and all gifting occasions to avoid acquiring junk. Who doesn’t love giving someone exactly what they want, anyway?
Nope. Every experience has a checkout option to purchase it directly, not just from a registry.
Yes! For example, if you are building a wedding registry and both partners want a massage, then add two (or more) massages to your registry.

To access your registry, login and navigate to the REGISTRY section of our main menu. Select MANAGE to manage your exisiting registry. Feel free to contact us with any questions.
Each registry comes with a unique URL to share with guests. After creating a registry, you'll receive a confirmation email with your unique URL.
You can also navigate to MANAGE your registry. At the top of the page you will find your unique link as well as options to share via email or social media. Feel free to contact us with any questions.
If you know the name of the registry owner, navigate to REGISTRY in our main menu. Select FIND to find an existing registy. Enter the owner's or the co-owner's first and last name and click FIND.
Each registry has its own unique URL. Owner's may also share this URL with you for access.
Registries may be protected with a password. Please reach out to the owner for the password if they have not given it to you already. Feel free to contact us with any questions.
Registries have the option to be protected by a password of your choice. This password is set when creating your registry.
If you forgot your password, you can always change it by logging in and navigating to MANAGE your registry. Don't forget to update your guests with the new password! Feel free to contact us with any questions.
You will be able to track purchases vs. what is remaining on your registry by logging in and viewing the 'Wants, Has, and Needs' columns. However you will not know who made the purchase(s). We've got to maintain that essence of surprise, right?
The registry owner will be able to track what has and has not been purchased within their registry. However, they will not know who purchased it until they receive the gift from you. Surprise, surprise!
Login to your account. Navigate to the REGISTRY section of our main menu and select MANAGE. Scroll to the bottom of your registry list and click the 'Delete Registry' button.
Registries will automatically deactivate one month after your event date.
Wishlists are a more simple and informal version of a gift registry, often used for more frequent events such as birthdays or holidays. We love wishlists for these frequent events to remove the "gift guessing game" and eliminate the possibility of waste by letting friends and fam know exactly what you want.
You may choose to build a wishlist OR registry for any occasion, it is simply a personal preference. Registries offer the ability to track what has or has not been purchased and allow shoppers to ship items directly to you, while wishlists do not have these functions.

Yes! This is a great option for group gifts and to increase affordability.
If you would like to split the cost of an experience with one or more people, please send an email to email@example.com with the experience you'd like to purchase and the email address of those who will be splitting the purchase. Once we're in touch, Presence will initiate invoices on the back end to all parties. When all invoices are paid, we will process the order.
This can be done for both regular and registry purchases.
